The REH Foundation Press is proud to present The Early Adventures of El Borak. This volume contains those hard-to-find stories from the Cryptic publications of the 1980s, as well as several other related items, including the first publication of a synopsis for “Blood of the Gods.” The vast majority of the pieces in this collection are fragments and juvenilia. This volume checks in at 350 pages, and will be printed in hardback with dust jacket, in a limited quantity of 150 copies, each individually numbered. Robert Ervin Howard was an American pulp writer of fantasy, horror, historical adventure, boxing, western, and detective fiction. Howard wrote "over three-hundred stories and seven-hundred poems of raw power and unbridled emotion" and is especially noted for his memorable depictions of "a sombre universe of swashbuckling adventure and darkling horror." He is well known for having created—in the pages of the legendary Depression-era pulp magazine Weird Tales—the character Conan the Cimmerian, a.k.a.
