Nope, she's going back to nineteen- eighty-three via the help of a tough talking, wise cracking fairy godmother! When Katy is given the chance to go back to nineteen-eighty-three, she makes some discoveries, including the body she thought she'd never see again and a bed she didn't use nearly enough! But this isn't about a walk down memory lane; this is about deciding if Katy wants to go back to the future fighting for her man, or if she should remain in the "thinking spot" she's so fond of where order is a way of life and fighting of any kind isn't allowed. Maddie Blake hates marriage! To her, marriage is a trap that ruins any good relationship. Maddie runs out of the house after Cole proposes and wouldn’t you know it, she gets hit…by a sleigh driven by an elf named Darwin. No joke. Darwin doesn’t know what to do, so he brings her to the North Pole where Maddie gets a few lessons from a tall elf name Al and the big man himself, Santa Claus. With her arrival at the North Pole, Maddie experiences things she would never have believed possible. Dakota Cassidy’s imagination really kicks in here and she creates a North Pole that would be an amazing place to visit. Just as Maddie experiences everything the North Pole has to offer, so does the reader as they journey through the North Pole through Maddie’s eyes. It’s definitely an exciting visit. Though very short, only thirty pages, this is nevertheless a great addition to Dakota Cassidy’s Ex-Files series. The reader gets to see how Maddie and Cole are doing, while also visiting some new characters that Cassidy has created. While it is a quick read, this is definitely a pleasurable trip to the North Pole that allows Maddie to see that a happy future only lies with Cole. Whether you’re new to the Ex-Files series or an old friend of the series, this is one story that will brighten up your holiday season.

One night, while standing on her deck, she sees a figure in the ocean that appears to be drowning. Rushing out to save him, she gets them both to shore but faints after glimpsing what appear to be a set of fangs on her “victim”. Turns out, Kale Ohana was not drowning at all. He had simply been night surfing and lost his board. After being drug onto shore by Victoria, he had smiled, totally forgetting that his fangs sometimes came out when he surfed. Returning the favor, Kale carries Victoria home and settles her on her couch. When she wakes up, Victoria doesn’t remember the fangs but does have a bit of a melt down about shedding salt water all over her pristine couch. It is only after Kale leaves that she realizes she had a total hottie in her home and worried more about the stupid couch. After giving herself time to think about what she wanted, Victoria pays a call on her midnight surfer. She may still be more than a little OCD, but she wants to have sex and decides that Kale is, for the moment at least, who she wants. What she discovers is a man who can ignite her libido in no time flat and also challenges her need for total control. She must decide if he is worth letting go of her rigid life and giving in to the desires that he has awakened within her. Oh, and then there is that whole vampire thing that Kale has going on.
