In November, 2024, a reader tagged me in a post of a social media influencer (@kaelidance) on Instagram. A video creator who lived in L.A. popped into her DMs and they started chatting. He mentioned needing a date to Friendsgiving. She flew from her home state (not Tennessee) to Los Angeles and went to his Friendsgiving. Followers on Instagram went wild and kept “shipping” Sully and Kaeli. She mentioned in one of her posts about their trips back and forth to see one another that she would love to see a movie or story written about them. So, I did it. It’s short. It’s sweet. And it’s only loosely based on them. But Sully and Kaeli, you inspired this novella.
