This boundary-crossing love story epitomises the doomed relationship between Jews and Muslims in Yemen, sheds light on how each community sees the other, interrogates religious and social barriers, and proves that, against all odds, love can conquer all - OR till death do the fated couple part.

علي المقري كاتب وشاعر يمني ، مواليد 1966م ، مدينة تعز ولد الشاعر والصحافي والروائي علي المقري في اليمن وبدأ كتابة الأدب وهو بالغ من العمر ثماني عشر سنة. بعد إعادة اتّحاد اليمن عام 1990 أصبح محرّراً ثقافياً لمنشورات عدّة. منذ سنة 1997 هو محرّر منشور أدبي "الحكمة" لجمعية الكتّاب اليمنيين ويترأس أيضاً مجلة أدبية بعنوان "غيمان" أُسسّت سنة 2007.
