
In 1883, the Indonesian Volcano Krakatoa erupted, and through the days that followed people heard the biggest bang in history, whilst in subsequent years Europe experienced the "end of Summer" for several years, as the Volcanic dust from the eruption blocked out the sun. "The Lonely Man of Kakarta" or "Blown to Bits" is a story about how the events of this historic natural disaster affected people's lives as a story, that depicts the depth of the disaster on one man, who lived through this time. The book also contains photographs and illustrations of the time.
