When Major Charlotte Hood lands on Deben Market Beach in the dark, she gets to her feet and makes her way across the bay with no idea what the time is - either in terms of the hour, the day, or the year. Still, she needs to press on and locate her mission partner George and get a grip on the situation. As she crosses the sand to their intended rendezvous under the moonlight, she spots a dark shadow under a boat. It looks suspiciously like a body. She approaches and presses a finger to the flesh, looking for signs of life. There are none. And no ID either, she discovers. She wonders if it is her target... Another murder, another mystery... we must be back in The Magic of Deben Market
