The small, old town of Sancerre on a little plateau above the Loire is proud of two of its sons who are now successful in Paris, Horace Bianchon and Etienne Lousteau. Currently living in the Sancerre district is a Superior Woman named Dinah. Adored for her beauty and admired for her cleverness, a lawyer once said to her: "You are too superior a woman to be liked by other women."
