From his earliest introduction of "the new living faith," John Wesley taught that faith and holiness were irrecocably linked together. His ministry during the great non-denominational eighteenth century "Methodist" revival was based on the principle that the Holy Spirit's indwelling after the new birth must lead the believer to a more holy life.
