The prospect of marriage has always frightened the princess of Silene, but as long as Sabra remains in her parents' care, she has been able to pretend it will never come. Her peaceful life comes crashing down, however, when a dragon ransacks her kingdom and forces her to make a terrible decision. Convinced she is powerless, Sabra allows herself to be caught up in the dragon's schemes until the arrival of a lone Roman soldier plants the seeds of hope that might just change it all. In this retelling of "St. George and the Dragon," legend and history mingle, and hope is born only of foolish bravery and sacrifice by those who would love others before themselves.
