"The Saint of Mt. Koya" is translated from "Koya Hijiri." This translation originally appeared in The Saint of Mt. Koya and The Song of the Troubadour, published in 1990 by The Committee of the Translation of the Works of Izumi Kyoka (Kanazawa, Japan).
