Writing has always been an outlet for him and he is prolific in that area, selling his first book to a major house in 1997. He has a number of cooking and food related books and with over fifty years in the food industry an accomplished cook as well as businessman. Ronald has been in publishing on the web as CEO of Tenth Power Media, publisher of over 400 on line e zines well as business books for his McDonald Business School. He published his first fiction novel "The Haven" in 2004. A member of Mensa as well as numerous charity organizations Ronald has mentored in business as well as politics for decades.

In 2013, she was recognized by the mayor and the city of Jacksonville as being a Trailblazer in the literary field. In 2010, she collaborated with Five Alive Films to turn her Truly Everlasting title into a feature film. Brenda’s 2011 novel A Silken Thread is scheduled to be filmed with Debbie Allen attached as director in 2015.
