When Sloane's best friend drags her out for a night of fun during the holiday season, she's less than thrilled. But her night takes an unexpected turn when she meets Kelly, a sexy and infuriating man who pushes all her buttons. In an effort to escape, Sloane makes a hasty exit, hoping to meet her new roommate, Kelly. She soon finds Kelly isn't at all what she expected. Kelly finds a roommate so he can move to Genesis Beach and work on a new architect project, all while being closer to his grandmother. But he gets more than he bargained for with his feisty new roommate, Sloane. As they navigate their new living arrangement, Kelly can't resist teasing Sloane and sparking a fiery chemistry between them. But when they come up with a plan to fake a relationship for their own benefits, they soon realize their feelings may not be so fake after all. As they struggle to keep up the charade of being a happy couple, Sloane and Kelly find themselves falling for each other in ways they never expected. Will their enemies-to-lovers dynamic turn into something real, or will their fake romance come crashing down? In The War is Over, Nikki A Lamers delivers a sizzling enemies to lovers romance that will leave you swooning. With witty banter, steamy moments, and unexpected twists, this contemporary romance novella will have you turning the pages until the very end.

I absolutely LOVE to read! One of my favorite things to do is curl up with a good book or create my own. My kids love to join me in creating their own stories too and those are always ones that make me laugh! I enjoy reading all kinds of books, but romance books that have a good story to it are my favorite to both read and write. Also, sharing the books I love with friends over coffee or a book turned movie is something I enjoy when I'm not running from my son's soccer game or to my daughter's dance class. Along with my friends and family, I have fun spending time outdoors, one of the reasons Maine is the setting in my first book, "The Unforgettable Summer". Although I grew up in Wisconsin and currently live with my family in New York, we spend time every year in Maine.
