Nor Larsen had been badly disillusioned where women were concerned, and had formed the opinion that there were only two things that motivated their sex: money and catching the right man. Laurel Teal was made aware of this arrogant man’s attitude when she applied for the job of looking after the local children on his remote island whaling station off the coast of Australia. Admittedly, Laurel had taken the job for its generous salary, but wasn’t Nor playing into what he considered to be Laurel’s scheming hands when he proposed a marriage of convenience between them? But then the marriage was for the sake of his island, and the question of love, Laurel had sadly realised, seemed most unlikely to ever enter into it!
