Theresa Hannig was born in 1984 in Munich, Germany. She studied Political Sciences, Economics and Philosophy at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. She worked as SAP consultand, project manager for solar power plants and light designer. In 2016 Theresa Hannig won the Stefan-Lübbe-Preis and with it a contract for her first novel "Die Optimierer". In March 2018 "Die Optimierer" was awarded with the Seraph 2018 for the best debut novel.
