“They” is a visionary short story written by Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936). It was first published in 1904. Set in Sussex, the tale focuses on the unbearable pain of a woman and a man who lost their children. This edition also contains a biographical profile of Kipling written by Charles Eliot Norton (1827-1908) in 1891.
