Twenty-three-year-old Dakota Young arrives at the Happy Endings Resort following what was thought to be a fictional book by an anonymous author that she finds in her late mother's office. Rumor has it the book inspired the disappearances and murders of eleven children, one of which was Dakota's nine-year-old sister, Diana. Dakota becomes obsessed with the case after receiving the files from her mother's old partner, Detective Mcdonald, and begins to lose herself as she discovers what's through the seven doors.
