aka Elaine Camp, Deborah Benet, Delaine Tucker, Deborah Camp, and Delayne Camp. Deborah Elaine Camp was born in Hayti, Missouri, USA, but is a long-time resident of Oklahoma. She has been a full-time writer since she graduated from the University of Tulsa. She worked for a few years asa reporter for newspapers before becoming a freelance writer. She grew up watching cowboys on TV. If there was a western on, her dad wanted to watch it. From Laramie to Have Gun Will Travel, the Camp family watched them all! This must have seeped into her skin and brain because when she outlined her first novel, Western came naturally. She loves to write about the American West, and also about strong, independent women and men who are their equals. She also tries to mix some laughter in with the loving. She is the author of more than 50 novels of contemporary and historical romances, and had signed her novels as Elaine Camp, Elaine Tucker, Deborah Benet, Delaine Tucker, Deborah Camp, and Delayne Camp. Her books have been published by Signet, Jove, New American Library, Harlequin, Silhouette, and Avon. Her novels have won hearts and awards, and she also has been inducted into the Oklahoma Authors Hall of Fame. She is a charter member of the Romance Writers of America, and also a member of the Author's Guild. Aside from writing and reading, Deborah works with Animal Rescue Foundation to rescue dogs from kill shelters and place them in loving, caring homes. Hers is also a foster home for rescued dogs and puppies.

She won her first professional writing award from RWA, a “Silver Medallion” in 1984, followed by over 20 nominations and awards—including achieving RWA’s HALL OF FAME status, and the most coveted Nora Roberts LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. Jennifer has regularly been on a variety of bestseller lists, and has written for Harlequin, Avon, Berkley and Dell. Her books have sold all over the world in over 20 languages. She also accumulated a number of pseudonyms—most recognizably JENNIFER GREENE, but also JEANNE GRANT and JESSICA MASSEY. She was born in Michigan, started writing stories in 7th grade, and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in English and Psychology. The University honored her with their “Lantern Night Award”, a tradition developed to honor fifty outstanding women graduates each year. Exploring issues and concerns for women today is what first motivated her to write, and she has long been an enthusiastic and active supporter of women’s fiction, which she believes is an unbeatable way to reach out and support other women. Jennifer lives in Michigan, just a short distance from Lake Michigan, with her husband Lar. Librarian Note: There is more than one author in the GoodReads database with this name. Cassie grew up in a small town at the very tip of southern Illinois. A tomboy, she spent most of her time outside and got into big trouble for breaking the trellis while climbing out her second-story bedroom window. When her family moved to L.A., major culture shock ensued. She discovered that grapefruits grew on trees, television offered more than two channels, and all the other girls had breasts. While hiding out and waiting for her chest to develop, she read voraciously, raiding her mother's bookshelf for Mickey Spillane when she finished all her Nancy Drew novels. Another move took her family to Denver, the place Cassie still calls home. She graduated from North Central college outside Chicago, got married, and returned to Colorado where she worked in personnel at the Denver Post and lived in a mountain cabin without running water. Upon learning she was pregnant, a return to civilization seemed prudent. She settled in Denver, raised two amazing daughters, and started writing for Harlequin. After her divorce, she took a break from romance and wrote straight suspense. During her frantic years as a single mom, writing books and working odd jobs to supplement her income, she hardly had time to breathe, much less to dream. Then something remarkable happened. She fell in love with a tall, sexy man who was an aerial photographer and the author of tough-guy mystery novels. Fortunately, he loved her back. She found her real-life hero, inherited three more grown kids and three grandchildren. Cassie started writing romance again, loving every minute of a life filled with laughter, crazy road trips, sailboats, and journeys to Oregon with long walks on rocky beaches. Not too long ago, the love of her life developed inoperable pancreatic cancer. With supportive friends and family standing by, he died at home. Cassie now lives alone, surrounded by beautiful memories. She has no regrets and considers herself lucky to have found her soul mate, the man with whom she shared a perfect love.
