Jessica Zafra was born and raised in Manila. She attended St. Theresa's College QC, where she never ate fishballs because her parents told her they were crawling with germs. Then she went to the Philippine Science High School, where she was editor-in-chief of the school paper for two years and participated in a science experiment which resulted in a massacre of chickens. At the University of the Philippines she majored in Comparative Literature. ate fishballs, and did not get infected. Jessica has written five books, including <>, and two previous "Twisted" compilations. She has won Palanca Awards, managed a rock band, and recorded a spoken-word album. Her column "Twisted" appears twice weekly in Today, and she hosts a chat show on 103.5 K-Lite, 3-6 p.m. Sundays. Her hobbies are watching movies and decapitating her enemies with her broadsword.
