Officer John Falco has just started with the Metro Police Department in Nashville. Nico Mayson has been assigned to be his mentor. Falco’s new partner is a former lover from their days together in the Academy. Angie Hicks is highly volatile, lives on the edge, and plays it fast and easy with the rules. On their first day together, they team up to thwart a robbery, but break a few rules along the way, violations that Hicks tries to cover up. An investigation ensues. The same day, Falco stumbles upon a beautiful young woman in a homeless community. She seems oddly out of place and strangely familiar to him. Falco is drawn to the young woman and learns she is hiding out from a criminal strip club owner with mob ties, who lured her into a dark world of exotic dancing, prostitution and murder. Falco must balance the loyalty he feels toward his partner with the feelings he is developing for the young woman he is trying to help, all while the internal investigation heats up.
