U.S. Marshal Sling Dolan is the only thing between mayhem and peace in El Paso, Texas, in 1880. “Sin City” boasts a population of four thousand and is growing daily. Dolan and Deputy Marshal Festive Reeds attempt to contain the violence in the Devil’s Triangle in Sin City with the help of a lazy sheriff and a shifty deputy. Rancher Chuck Conrad runs a small spread with his son Chip just outside town. Rustlers have been stealing their livestock and creating chaos, so the two head to town to seek help from the marshal. Steve Rand is a bounty hunter, and he is looking for the man on his poster—DEAR OR ALIVE. He’s hunting John Walsh Webb for double murder and train and stagecoach robberies. He intends to collect the five hundred dollars on Webb’s head. As an old acquaintance of Marshal Sling Dolan, he looks him up for a helping hand. Miss Candy Wellworth owns the Long Tree Saloon across the street from the marshal’s office. She and Sling have been seeing each other for years, but every time marriage comes up in conversation, something happens to put it off yet again. Between her full-time job and the marshal’s duties, little time is left for romance. Still, she fights for her slice of the marshal’s time. She has to share her beau with most of the county, but she knows it’s for the good of El Paso and Texas.

Ash Lingam is an Amazon Best Selling Author. He has written over one hundred novels and short stories in the Western genre. He has published nine series about the Texas Rangers, US Marshals, and Bounty Hunters, and his new additions to the Frontier & Pioneer Western Fiction—the Mountain Men series. Ash was born on a ranch in the Midwestern United States. It was during a time when Westerns were magical both at the movies and on television. As a boy, he collected Indian arrowheads in the fields and rode his horse, Sugar, in the woods as he played cowboys and Indians. From age twelve, he hunted to put food on the family table when his grandpa, Pop, gave him his first double-barrel shotgun—at eight taught him how to trap in our ponds and the creeks at the end of our property. Growing up in the country with horses and guns made the transition to an author of the Old West an effortless journey. Some say Ash Lingam is the fastest writer in the West. Ash says; When inspiration hits me, from when I open my eyes in the morning until I fall asleep at night, I let my fingers dance across the keyboards, anxious to see what will happen next in the story in my mind’s eye.
