Aga igaühel on mingi eesmärk. Kes tahab saada rikkaks, kes surra, kes leida armastuse, kes mingitki tööd, kes elab päevast päeva, sest küll iga päev muretseb ise enda eest. Võib-olla tuleb homme katastroof. Võib-olla õnnestub kellelgi lõpuks internet kokku lasta. Võib-olla tuleb suur vihm või suur põud, suur külm või suur kuum, veeuputus või veepuudus. Aga mis me sinna teha saame? Täna peab reisija saama lennukisse, piloot oma kohale, stjuuardid ja stjuardessid on juba ametis, kakssada, kolmsada inimest on valmis tõusma taevasse, midagi eriti tundmata, mõeldes millelegi hoopis muule. DHL-i kuller peab leidma õige aadressi ja paki kätte andma, india mees, kes töötab meie küla postkontoris, peab lõunatunnini veel kaks tundi ootama. Poolakas Konrad peab lammutama ja ehitama, kuni õhtu kätte jõuab. Kuninganna peab valitsema, kuni jõuab surm. Maailm peab kestma nii kaua, kuni Jumal temast ära tüdineb. Teist valikut pole. Kas kellelgi on?
