A Nighttime of Forever

2018

Sarah Wright woke up a few times after parties in strange places ― but the morgue’s a first. At eighteen, she’s eager for a taste of independence, moving out of state to attend college. A change of scenery is extra-needed due to a bad breakup with her boyfriend, Scott. However, soon after escaping the body cooler, she makes two startling realizations: vampires are real, and she is one. There’s nothing quite like an untimely death to ruin plans. California’s sunny beaches aren’t the best place for vampires to chill, and worse, not only does she wind up stuck in Seattle, she’s still living (figuratively) with her parents. They take the news surprisingly well ― after all, it’s better than burying her ― even helping move her bedroom to the basement. A disinterested sire, distraught friends, nosy Men in Black, and awestruck younger siblings complicate her adjustment to the new normal of being an immortal still subject to her parents’ rules. Undeath has its perks, but it also brings enemies. Without a copy of ‘Fangs for Dummies,’ Sarah’s left scrambling for answers when one such new enemy attacks her siblings and friends. If she can’t figure out how to vampire, her attempt to spare her family the grief of losing her may wind up killing them.

A Beginner's Guide to Fangs

2018

At eighteen, Sarah Wright never had to cope with a death in her family before―least of all her own. Two weeks after waking up as a vampire, she’s starting to feel comfortable in her fangs. Sarah’s doing okay, if you don’t count wicked mood swings, crushing guilt, and a pervasive sense of existential dread. On the upside, her family is adjusting to the new normal of supernatural in stride and she’s even testing the waters with a new guy. However, something’s changed with her best friend Ashley, who’s not acting at all like herself. To make matters worse, someone’s stalking Sarah. Mom copes with her daughter’s undeath by largely ignoring it, sending her on errands during the day when her powers won’t work and she’s scared of being killed for good. Formal entry into vampire society sends her down a dangerous path, right into the middle of a war between elders―that her sire started. All Sarah wants is some semblance of a normal unlife, but she finds herself stuck between two groups of angry vampires itching to spill blood… And they don’t care if it’s from her innocent family.

The Artist of Ruin

2018

Sarah Wright knows she’s in for a rough week when a ghost asking for help is the least frightening thing she has to deal with. A month after waking up as a vampire, unlife is feeling pretty sweet. Her mood swings are easing off, she’s got a decent boyfriend, and best of all, the parents let her slide on being lazy. They understand it’s a little awkward to keep a job when daylight can kill her. Oh, and the whole magical powers thing is pretty cool, too. After two weeks of quiet, her new normal blooms into a chaotic mess. Ashley’s awful luck with romance hits dangerously close to home. A simple favor for Aurélie ends with a possessed antique doll loose in the house, and worse, one random act of kindness gives Sarah something she’s never had before—a nemesis who wants to do more than kill her. She wants to utterly ruin her.

The Last Family Road Trip

2018

The universe holds various immutable constants: death, gravity, taxes… and the Wright family road trip. After a couple months as a vampire, Sarah’s mostly adjusted to her new unlife. Despite being eighteen and immortal, she embraces staying at home. Her almost demise makes her quite aware that her family won’t be around forever. She only needs to keep her supernatural and normal lives separate. Yeah… that’ll happen. Every summer, Dad plans a vacation-by-car somewhere across the country. Lameness has increased each year, but Sarah blames that on growing older. She thought dying might get her out of going, but her father’s not about to let something that trivial put an end to the tradition. After renting an RV and tinting the back windows, he’s confident he can bring the whole family along. Of course, as a vampire, Sarah can’t seem to go anywhere without attracting the weird. … and the deadly.

How Not to Summon Demons

2019

Five months after becoming a Vampire, Sarah Wright’s unlife has gone back to relative normal—until demons start coming out of the woodwork. Before graduating high school last June, she never imagined she’d wind up staying at home with her parents and siblings. Now, she savors every minute she has with them. Her friends juggle school and jobs, leaving precious little time to hang out with her mostly nocturnal schedule. A vampire’s hours aren’t exactly awesome for spending time with tween-age siblings either, but the family has adjusted to her undeath. The other paranormal weirdness she seems to attract? Not so much. When Halloween rolls around, Sarah’s all too happy to take her siblings trick-or-treating. But this year, the holiday has more than costumes and candy in store. On the night the veil between worlds is at its thinnest, a small army of demons spills forth to play havoc in Cottage Lake. Harmless pranks soon take a malicious turn, forcing Sarah to scramble in search of where the creatures are coming from—hoping to stop them before someone ends up dead.

Ordinary Problems of a College Vampire

2019

Sarah Wright faces many challenges typical to any college student: tons of work, second-guessing her major, and trying to find time between classes to drink blood. She’s adjusted to her new vampiric self. It’s fun being immortal, despite a mostly nocturnal schedule cutting into her time for friends and family. Though, little about her reality is routine. Her little sister needs magical training so she doesn’t accidentally summon the pom-pom of destruction. Compared to that, a minor demon living in her brother’s room isn’t such a big deal… and her dad still insists on watching Eighties’ movies. Oh, did I mention her sire is a bit on the dodgy side? A major drawback to undeath is the tendency for problems to follow bloodlines. When Dalton steps in it—again—a gang of vampires from California think Sarah shares responsibility. She doesn’t want to be involved, but there’s one giant problem: They aren’t bound to honor the elder’s decree that protects her family.

A Vampire's Guide to Surviving Holidays

2019

Sarah Wright has gone through a lifetime of mess in a mere five months, but her most difficult challenge yet is making it through Thanksgiving without spilling blood. It isn’t only her extended family tempting her to sprout claws. A vampire hunter has arrived in Seattle, his sights set on Professor Heath. Worse, the hunter seems like a relatively nice guy. Dedicating one’s entire life to destroying undead sounds like a perfectly reasonable response to witnessing a vampire kill your parents, right? She doesn’t believe her mild professor used to be a bloodthirsty mass-murderer, nor does she want to straight-up kill a living man for merely existing. Her indecision and silence backfires. One of the local vampire elders, still fuming over Sarah’s decision to remain with her mortal family, seizes the chance to back her into a political corner: If Sarah doesn’t kill the hunter, she’ll bear the responsibility for anyone he destroys.

An Introduction to Paranormal Diplomacy

2020

Freeing a centuries-old murderer from a ghost jar usually ends badly. Sarah has finally adjusted to unlife, at last comfortable with herself. Her college classes are going well even if she isn’t fully committed to her current major. Her one frustration is her boyfriend always being too busy to spend time with her, but college is temporary. Love is forever. Or so they say—her definition of ‘forever’ is a little different now. Worry about her love life pales next to the constant paranormal weirdness invading her personal space. Nothing major really, only her brother trafficking with demons and one little sister interrupting the time continuum over kittens. The moment Sophia’s extreme niceness resulted in a killer from the 1700s escaping a spirit trap, Sarah had a feeling it would bite her in the ass. The teeth have finally arrived. Furious at centuries of captivity, the wraith causes mayhem in London. If Sarah ignores it, innocent people are going to die… but dragging her kid sister across the ocean has bad idea written all over it.

A Vampire's Guide to Adulting

2020

Sarah Wright has experienced no shortage of stressful situations since becoming a vampire, but she’s about to face the most terrifying one yet—being the adult in the room. Nine months into undeath, Sarah’s found her stride. She’s comfortable in her fangs, managing family and school, and relatively content. Treating her parents to a weeklong vacation in Iceland sounded like an awesome idea back in December, but the reality of being responsible for her siblings while they’re away is terrifying. She’d be less afraid of a twelve-foot-tall troll. Wait… only a dream. Magic portals aren’t real. Right? The first few days playing mom give her weak hope she might not screw things up too bad. All seems manageable until the local vampires come calling. Her probationary period is over. Time to become official. Arthur Wolent couldn’t have picked a worse time to send her on an errand. It’s only a simple delivery—to Southern California—while her siblings are home without parents. What could go wrong?

How to Stop a Vampire War in Six Easy Steps

2020

Nothing has complicated Sarah Wright’s life as much as losing it. Discovering vampires and other supernatural creatures are real took the sting out of being murdered by her ex-boyfriend. She’s enjoying her new reality, even if taking a knife to the heart was the sanest thing to happen to her since. Not quite a year into being an immortal, Sarah’s embraced the supernatural world hidden beneath the veneer of modern society. Vampirism is crazy fun as long as no one’s trying to kill her (again). She’s doing her best to keep her head down and help her kid sister sell Girl Scout cookies, but it’s not quite as easy to stay off the radar after becoming an official member of vampire society. A random attempt on her unlife proves old grudges haven’t been forgotten. Somehow, Follows Rules Girl has made enemies of the immortal kind. Aurelie’s decree of protection obligates her to respond, all but guaranteeing a city-wide war among the elders. Worse, the Wright family will be at ground zero… unless Sarah can find a way to stop it.

Ancient Vampire Death Cults and Other Annoyances

2020

Sarah Wright has a job to die for. She never asked for it, never even filled out an application. To be fair, she didn’t ask to die either. Ever since she woke up as a vampire, she only wanted to unlive in as ordinary a way as possible. Alas, the realities of undeath and awakening to the greater existence of the supernatural made certain demands of the family. Her friends have ordinary summer jobs. Sarah runs errands for the vampire boss of Seattle. It isn’t such a bad gig when she’s not being shot at, chased, clawed up, thrown around, or scrambling to keep her family safe. A ‘simple’ job to determine the intentions of vampiric exiles new to the area predictably blows up in her face and leaves her playing chicken against an elder bent on destroying society. At least if she messes up this time, the world won’t be destroyed… probably.

Hunting Vampires for Fun and Profit

2021

Sarah Wright knows her unlife is about to get crazy—everything feels too normal. She doesn’t need a spirit oracle to warn her of imminent craziness. Seems every time her life after becoming a vampire starts to come close to resembling normality, all heck breaks loose. So, an idle moment of feeling almost bored is as dark an omen as it gets. It doesn’t help her unease when one of the Seven Signs of the Apocalypse manifests: Sophia has agreed to go to Girl Scout camp for a week away from home. Before Sarah can determine who abducted her littlest sister and replaced her with an exact replica, her not-so-summer job taps her for another errand. She needs only to recover a sword an unknown vampire stole from Arthur Wolent for equally unknown reasons… if she can find it. Sounds easy. Which means it’s going to kill her.

In her short time as a vampire, Sarah Wright has made some enemies… but she never expected to piss off the Universe. Her boyfriend is kinda plain, but she needs to have a dose of normal somewhere. Things are looking good… right up until they’re not. One near death experience could be chalked up to bad luck, but two defies plausibility. The third time a freak accident nearly destroys her for good, she starts to wonder if it’s not so freak. If Sarah’s going to survive another month of undeath, she’ll need to find out why the fabric of probability hates her. And do it fast.

The Summer of Completely Usual Strangeness

2021

Becoming a vampire had been the most extreme shock of Sarah Wright’s life–or so she thought. Fourteen months into her strange new existence, an impulsive red-headed bomb rocks her unlife to the core. As if having to cope with all the feels isn’t stressing enough, she still has Chloe to worry about as well as keeping an eye over her shoulder in case some other angsty supernatural idiot decides to randomly become angry with her. Sarah tries her best to balance normal family life with helping two fledgling undead adjust to their fangs. Despite the shock of what happened, knowing she’ll never be lonely is awesome. Alas, outside forces threaten her newfound contentment mere days after her world’s upended when they do something more foolish than starting a land war in Asia. Some idiot tries to kill Arthur Wolent. Being the new girl usually keeps Sarah safe from the worst of politics, but it also makes her a weapon no one will see coming. The only hard part is surviving.

Despite their tragically lame camping trip sounding boring, Sarah expects something will go off the rails. And the Forces of Evil™ are more than happy to oblige. After only two nights, an ancient evil stalks Sarah and her family. Her relaxing vacation is about to become final death—unless she can figure out how to stop a fiend dreaded by all of vampire kind.
