In their eagerly awaited collaboration, artist Antony Gormley and novelist Colm Toibin find common ground in the capriciousness and spectacle of weather. Gormley's ethereal, sunlit drawings of north Norfolk's coastal fringe, debuting here, capture 'the merging of solid, airy, and watery elements', employing Chinese brushes to lay ink on water-soaked paper. He ponders these works 'like examining traces left by a retreating dried salt on a rock, or a beach's tideline.'
