Chase is caught in the midst of a cartel war. When Chase first met Esteban Velasquez, the cartel hitman tried to kill him. Now, the man who is second in command of the largest drug cartel in Florida is missing, and a rival drug lord is claiming he's killing his men. Chase quickly turns down a request by the drug lord, Julio Moreno. However, the DEA and the rival cartel come after Chase, thinking he's working at Moreno's bequest. Before he can get clear, he needs to find Velasquez before a war breaks out in South Florida.

Douglas Pratt was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been writing since the third grade. During high school, Douglas dabbled in short stories and poems. Douglas graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Journalism. He lives in Mason, Tennessee, and spends his spare time on his sailboat.
