When Melani's family finally finds a home outside the city where they can hear the sea crashing on the beach and hear the gulls call, they are delighted. There is even a separate apartment where their aunt can come to live. But when Melani and the family dog, Jeffy, start exploring the park, they see a ghost horse in the mist - a secret they cannot keep for long.
