Any Witch Way You Can
2012
Bay Winchester is having a tough week.
As the local editor of Hemlock Cove's only newspaper, she just happens to be present when a body is found in an area corn maze. To make matters worse, the police believe the murder may have something to do with the occult.
This wouldn't be a problem for a normal reporter, but since Bay is descended from a well-known line of actual witches, the town is understandably on edge.
Between the suspicious townspeople, the befuddled police presence and that random hot biker guy that may or may not have something to do with the murder—Bay has her hands full.
When you add the typical family problems, multiplying ghosts—and one monster of a zit that she's sure came from her aunt's curse—Bay is just struggling to make it through the week.
Of course, when the killer sets his sights on Bay, things could get a whole lot worse.

Every Witch Way But Wicked
2013
Where there’s a witch, there’s a way! Where there’s a whole family of them, there’s trouble. Bay Winchester, editor of Hemlock Cove’s small weekly newspaper, thinks her small hamlet’s upcoming murder mystery weekend is going to be all about fun, food and frolicking. Instead, when another dead body is discovered in Hemlock Cove, things turn into murder, mayhem and migraines (the latter is mostly thanks to her family, of course).
The body belongs to the town drunk – and no one can figure out who would want to kill him, or why. Bay’s investigation is stymied by her new boss, Brian Kelly, and her old flirtation, FBI agent Landon Michaels, both of whom seem to have more than interviews on their mind.
When you couple that with her cousin Thistle’s obsession with making their Great-Aunt Tillie pay for the curse she recently put on them (you don’t want to know) and her cousin Clove’s conviction that she is not – no matter what the rest of the family says – a blabbermouth, Bay has her hands full.
When the murder investigation takes a turn, though, a long-held Hemlock Cove secret is bound to be exposed. If it is, Bay may find herself in trouble – again – and this is the kind of trouble that she may not be able to find a way out of – even with Aunt Tillie’s help.

Witching You Were Here
2013
Winter has hit Hemlock Cove – and not in a fun way.
The cold weather is keeping most tourists out of town, which is just fine with the Winchester witches. They’re using the lull as a way to recharge and take a break – even if Aunt Tillie is causing her usual havoc.
All that comes crashing down, though, when a large yacht is found abandoned in a nearby channel and there’s blood on the deck. For Bay, things go from bad to worse when local law enforcement is joined by a federal representative in the form of Landon Michaels – her former flirt partner and possible boyfriend.
Landon has come to town for more than just the case, though; he’s here to make amends. And even if Bay is ready to accept his apology, that doesn’t mean her family is. Landon may be here to win her back, but he’s also a man on a mission – and that mission is truth. He wants to know the Winchester family secret – whether Bay is ready to share it or not.
Landon isn’t the only visitor in Hemlock Cove, either. Thistle’s father – Ted Proctor – is also in town. He says he’s there to buy some property for a business consortium – but he’s having secret meetings and hiding a bevy of truths from his daughter and her busybody cousins – something that sets the whole family on edge.
When you couple that with the hot new handyman, the hipster snowboarders and Aunt Tillie’s rage about her wine closet being confiscated for a new furnace, it’s another fun-filled mystery for the Winchester witches and Hemlock Cove – as long as everyone can survive the snow, and the killer that hides in it, that is.

Witching on a Star
2014
When you're a witch, being wicked comes naturally.
For the Winchester witches, though, being wicked is only half the fun.
After a long winter, spring has finally hit Hemlock Cove and Bay Winchester thinks things are finally settling down in the town – and with her family. Unfortunately, just the opposite is true.
As a way to distract Aunt Tillie, the Winchester family has decided to give her a new project: Her own greenhouse. As construction starts, though, Bay is approached by a young girl – one she quickly realizes is no longer among the living – and given a task. The litter girl wants her mother – and she wants Bay to find her.
If that wasn't bad enough, Bay's boss has brought in a consultant who wants to up The Monitor's production to three times a week, Bay's father and uncles are in the midst of opening their own rival inn – which has the middle generation of Winchester witches in a tizzy (and Aunt Tillie on the warpath) – and FBI agent Landon Michaels is finally embracing the truth about witchcraft.
In short order, Bay finds out that there may be more than one ghost in need of help, Landon is still suspicious when it comes to the Winchesters and Aunt Tillie finds she has an unlikely suitor in pursuit of her curmudgeonly affections, which doesn't stop her from cursing the youngest witches in the family when the mood hits.
It's just a normal week in Hemlock Cove – that is until the truth about two small ghosts blows sky high and brings a world of trouble to the Winchester witches' doorstep.

Something to Witch About
2014
Life's a witch...and then you die.
It's the dying part vexing Bay Winchester these days. She may be a long-suffering daughter, thankless newspaper editor, and keyed-up girlfriend, but she's barely holding off a royal freakout.
Landon's family is visiting the inn—and they're not exactly open minded. Bay is on a mission to hide her witchy ways, but the discovery of a body—and the poltergeist that accompanies it—at The Overlook tips everything into turmoil.
Landon's mother doesn't trust them—and his Aunt Blanche is moving in on Aunt Tillie's man (which is causing more trouble than anyone saw coming). That's on top of the paranormal havoc the poltergeist is wreaking in every corner of town.
Bay and Thistle are convinced Aunt Tillie knows something about the body the construction company unearthed while erecting her beloved greenhouse. The problem is, she won't admit it.
Landon is on vacation. Chief Terry is on edge. Clove is hiding something—and it has nothing to do with the poltergeist. That's on top of the fact that Bay's mom and aunts are feigning eternal ignorance.
The poltergeist is out for blood, though—and it will only settle for Winchester blood.
When everything comes to a head, a long-held Hemlock Cove secret will be unveiled—and it's not what anyone is expecting.

Witch Me Luck
2015
Hemlock Cove is celebrating a magical birthday, and familiar faces from different places are descending on the town to participate in the party.
Everyone is looking forward to the festivities except Bay Winchester, who would rather be hiding from her high school nemesis than chatting her up in the town square.
Lila Stevens hasn’t changed since graduation, and Bay remains her favorite target. Bay would like to ignore her, but Lila isn’t making it easy – especially when she sets her sights on FBI Agent Landon Michaels.
Unfortunately for Bay, she can’t focus on that predicament when the Hemlock Cove Savings & Loan is held up and a local teller is shot. When suspicion falls upon Sam Cornell, the Winchesters have to gather together to prove his innocence (or guilt).
Clove is despondent, Thistle is on a revenge mission and Aunt Tillie is … well … Aunt Tillie. As usual, the Winchester witches are in an uproar.
As the clues start to fit together, Bay realizes she has to wade through a pack of lies to find the truth. With Landon by her side, and Lila nipping at her heels, Bay is going to have to find a way to survive and keep her family together.

Life's a Witch
2015
Life's a witch ... and then you die.
Bay Winchester is living the witch part – literally. She’s hoping to avoid the dying part.
The Winchester world is full of trouble when great-aunt Willa and cousin Rosemary come to town. It’s clear they’re up to something, but no one can figure out what.
Aunt Tillie is loading for bear. She’s declared war on her sister, and she’s not taking prisoners – or looking to skirt collateral damage.
When a young man’s body shows up at Hollow Creek, Bay’s attention is divided thanks to a morose ghost who blames her for ending “party time” and Aunt Tillie’s refusal to back down.
FBI Agent Landon Michaels enjoys watching the show, although he’s worried the dead man’s ties to the local drug trade could put the Winchesters in danger due to Aunt Tillie’s “glaucoma medicine” side business.
Local kids are trying to steal from the property, Aunt Willa is trying to undermine everyone and Aunt Tillie has a secret that she’s dying to spill – that is when she’s not protecting her land with a shotgun.
Bay is determined to find answers, even if she dies in the process.

Charms & Witchdemeanors
2016
Tillie Winchester’s past is about to come back to haunt her, and what she sees as fun and games someone else sees as a recipe for murder.
When a local woman is poisoned at Hemlock Cove’s senior center, Aunt Tillie is the prime suspect. Bay, Thistle and Clove don’t believe their great-aunt is guilty – although Thistle is fine if the police want to haul her away for a long weekend.
Everyone in town is suspicious, but things spiral out of control when FBI Agent Landon Michaels’ boss believes he can’t be objective where his girlfriend’s family is concerned and sends another agent to lead the investigation. The new agent is gung-ho, headstrong and making witchy enemies at every turn.
When the investigation turns to the past instead of the present, Aunt Tillie refuses to talk and a long held Hemlock Cove secret risks being exposed. Bodies start piling up as old grudges overlap with new clues and the Winchesters are caught in the crossfire.
Bay is determined to clear her great-aunt’s name but even she has her doubts when the victim’s ghost points a finger … directly at Aunt Tillie. It’s all hands on deck for an explosive showdown that proves some secrets are best left buried.
Bay just hopes she won’t end up buried, too.

The Trouble With Witches
2016
The Winchester witches are in a tizzy.
Sam Cornell’s parents are coming to town and Clove is beside herself. Meeting her boyfriend’s parents is a big deal. It doesn’t help that her cousins can’t stop making fun of her, which is the Winchester way, of course.
In addition to the Cornells' imminent visit, the Winchesters are also dealing with Sam’s new tanker. An afternoon visit knocks Bay for a metaphysical loop with ugly visions of a tragedy long since forgotten – by everyone but the dead. The belligerent ghosts set their sights on someone in the Winchester household … it’s just not Bay, for a change … and everyone has to rally together if they expect to make it out alive.
If ghosts and parental visits weren’t bad enough, Hemlock Cove has a firebug. Someone is going after business owners and festival booths and the culprit is getting more and more daring. Two forms of evil are bound to collide, but when and where?
It’s going to take all of the Winchesters – and their friends – to solve a mystery decades in the making. The answers are there if they can dig deep enough to find them. Surviving the ordeal won’t be easy, but it’s all hands on deck – this time literally – for another wacky Winchester adventure.

Murder Most Witchy
2017
Life in the Winchester household is hardly settled. That’s true for Bay Winchester more than anybody else.
Her boyfriend Landon Michaels is away from town on an undercover assignment for the FBI and Bay is struggling not to let worry and unease rule over her life. Halloween is approaching, after all, and Hemlock Cove is bustling with activity. Bay has her hands full even when her heart feels empty.
A chance encounter with Landon while he’s undercover leaves Bay exposed… and furious. By the time Landon returns to make things right, things spiral further out of control when Bay is attacked in her own home and wakes to find a dead body on the lawn.
The dead woman has ties to Landon’s case and when the investigation is given to the Michigan State Police instead of Landon and Chief Terry, Bay knows she’s in trouble. Between her issues with Landon and his refusal to step away from the case, things are about to come to a head.
Landon is determined to protect Bay at all costs, even if it means going to war with the people he once considered colleagues. For her part, Bay has to dig deep for courage – deeper than she ever dreamed, in fact. Faith is key, because Landon needs it and so does she.
The final fight is one no one saw coming, and it brings Landon and the Winchesters full circle as they once again find themselves walking into a corn maze looking for trouble… and desperate to protect one of their own.
When the end comes, someone Bay loves with her whole heart is in danger, and survival isn’t a given. It’s going to take everyone to save the day. Aunt Tillie has a plan, though, so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about.
Right?

A Witch Before Dying
2017
Hemlock Cove is bustling with activity.
FBI Agent Landon Michaels has officially moved in with his girlfriend Bay Winchester, Mrs. Little is planning an impromptu festival and there’s a new witch in town. The question is: Is Scarlet Darksbane a real witch?
Bay is in the middle of all of it. She has her hands full thanks to her imminent purchase of The Whistler … and the fact that Landon and Thistle seem to be butting heads while sharing the same roof. Thistle isn’t long for the guesthouse, but the weeks of overlap before she moves promise to try Bay’s patience.
Things only get worse when one of the renaissance festival performers is found dead in the town square and Bay and her wacky cohorts find themselves in the middle of another messy mystery. The murder has ritual overtones, and Bay is worried that everyone will start pointing fingers at the real witches if a suitable suspect isn’t found.
That’s only one of her problems, though. It seems the new witch – who seems to be focused on entrenching herself in Hemlock Cove as fast as possible – might also be a suspect. She’s definitely on Aunt Tillie’s radar, and the elderly Winchester is determined to uncover all of Scarlet’s secrets.
It’s up to Bay, Landon, Aunt Tillie and the rest of the motley crew to figure out the truth and head off a killer before another victim falls prey to a demented fiend with murder on his or her mind.
The big question is: Will Bay survive to uncover the truth or will she be the next victim?

A Breath of Witchy Air
2018
Hemlock Cove is mired in a cold snap, which means the town is calm and quiet. That all changes in an instant when a beer truck tips over on the highway and half the town shows up to get drunk.
Bay Winchester is about to be the sole owner of the town newspaper so she heads out to take photos … and accidentally stumbles over several bodies. It seems there’s a serial killer on the loose, although no one can figure out if the dump site was convenient or if the killer is local.
Some hard digging leads Bay to a local college, where the only thing that stands out is a cell phone game that seems to be taking over the populace. Bay can’t shake the feeling that there’s something off about the game, but that pales in comparison to the dead girls and the motive behind multiple killings.
Things spiral out of control when the game developers pick Hemlock Cove for a big event, which means the town is suddenly flooded with gamers … including Aunt Tillie, who decides that winning really is the most important thing.
Things are about to get wicked for the Winchesters. There’s a killer in their midst and Bay appears to be displaying a new power that no one saw coming.
It’s only a matter of time until two powerful forces collide. Who comes out standing is anybody’s guess but Bay’s new power will be on full display … and may be the ultimate factor in her survival.

Witch, Interrupted
2018
Things have been quiet in Hemlock Cove. That means the Winchesters are due to find trouble.
This time, the trouble comes in the form of a dead radio doctor who calls himself Dr. Lovelorn and fixes relationships in distress. Unfortunately for the Winchesters, if he can’t help his normal patients, he’s going to help them… whether they want it or not.
Love seems to be the topic of discussion, because in addition to searching for a murderer, Bay Winchester has her hands full dealing with another surprise. It seems Chief Terry, her favorite father figure, is dating… and he’s not opening his heart to her mother as she expected.
Bay is trying to be mature, but she always thought Terry would officially become part of her family once the barriers were lifted. To make matters worse, Terry’s new girlfriend wants to be friends… something Bay can’t quite wrap her head around.
Thankfully for Bay, she has a murder to focus on. Since Dr. Lovelorn had his fair share of enemies – and a rather unattractive habit of getting too involved with his patients – there are numerous suspects to focus on.
Her expanding magic is also an issue, because she can’t quite get a handle on the ghosts that keep popping up… mostly because they’re mouthy and prone to fighting her efforts.
Basically, it’s going to be a busy week… if everyone survives to see the end of another convoluted case, that is.
It’s all witches on deck for this one, and things are about to get weirder than normal.

Freaky Witches (Mystic Caravan, #7)
2019
Mystic Caravan Circus is heading for the Midwest … and their first stop is Michigan. Hemlock Cove to be exact.
Poet Parker is looking forward to what she believes will be a quiet time. Hemlock Cove isn’t big, after all, and Mystic Caravan is essentially serving as the centerpiece for a paranormal festival in a town where everyone pretends to be witches.
There’s just one problem … real witches are afoot, and they’re unbelievably powerful.
When a body drops close to the circus grounds, Poet finds herself facing off with local law enforcement, the town’s only reporter, and an elderly witch who is set in her ways … and knows exactly how she’s going to do things no matter who agrees with her or not.
Yes, Poet is about to interact with the Winchester witches, and who comes out on top is anybody’s guess. The only thing both factions know is that they have to work together to uncover a killer and keep their true natures under wraps. That’s easier said than done, especially when Nellie and Aunt Tillie join forces and decided to take control of the situation.
It’s a battle for supremacy, with Mystic Caravan in one corner and the Wicked Witches of the Midwest in the other. Both sides are going to come out swinging … and cursing.
Place your bets.

Bay thought the worst was behind her when she modified the memories of four tempestuous teenagers bent on stealing magic and wielding it in a tyrannical manner. Unfortunately for her, when one of those teenagers ends up dead behind the inn her father owns, things start to spiral.

Friday the Witchteenth
2022
Bay Winchester is newly married and happy. Things have been quiet since she returned from her honeymoon, which means trouble is just around the corner.
When it comes, it takes the form of a despondent man on a bridge. Despite her best efforts, Bay and the hostage negotiator can’t save him, and death is swift.
That should’ve been the end of it, but a weird symbol on the dead man’s hand piques Bay’s interest, and when the negotiator turns up sick with the same symptoms, she knows that they have a problem on their hands.
Suicide as a contagion? It’s not the fight Bay was expecting, and it’s definitely not the one she was looking for. Still, it’s the problem that keeps on giving… especially when it spreads to Mrs. Little.
In her heart, Bay knows that she shouldn’t care about the woman who has hurt her family at every turn. Ignoring the problem isn’t an option though. If she stands back and does nothing in an attempt to end the chain, she’ll never be able to live with herself. If she gets too close, she could get infected herself.
Bay has never doubted her magic, but the current fight is out of her wheelhouse. Magic is at the core of what’s happening, but their enemy is invisible.
The Winchester witches have never met an enemy they can’t fight… until now.
Will they be able to pull together and save Hemlock Cove? Or is the town doomed to fall to a curse without a name and an evil without a soul?
Strap in, because the answer is more than anybody is expecting, and if everybody is to survive, the fight will have to move to an entirely new level.
The game is on. In this one, the winner will take all.

Lights, Cameras, Witches
2022
Bay Winchester isn’t in the mood for trouble. It seems to continually find her, however, and this time it’s coming in the form of a television production crew.
Haunted Traditions has made a name for itself as the premiere reality television show catering to paranormal enthusiasts. Of course Hemlock Cove pops up on their radar. What they want most of all is an interview with Bay, the local newspaper owner and expert on all things Hemlock Cove, and a shot of magic happening in real time wouldn’t hurt either.
The woman in question is not having it.
When a body drops in an alley, it’s bad enough that the production crew is on site. What makes it worse is that the body is glowing… and there’s no hiding it. There’s no telling why it’s glowing either. It’s a mystery.
Bay and her husband Landon are convinced the body has something to do with a new meth gang that has taken over a chain of lake cabins on the outskirts of town. They just have to prove it.
Between dodging the television crew—who have taken up residence in The Overlook—and chasing a monster, the Winchesters have their hands full… and that’s not counting the family members who have decided they want to become television stars.
Bay is used to fighting evil. What she’s not used to is having to dodge potential exposure in the process.
The Winchesters are facing a battle. Now they just have to figure what side it’s coming from.
It’s a fight to the finish… and if the television crew catches them, it’s all over.
It’s lights, cameras, action in Hemlock Cove… and death may soon follow.

Christmas is in the past and the new year is shining bright for Bay Winchester…right up until a local inn catches fire and she realizes that something more than snow is afoot in Hemlock Cove.
Bay and her husband Landon Michaels don’t hesitate before charging into the fire—there are children at risk after all—but when the fire seems to have a mind of its own…literally…things take a shift for the worse.
It seems there’s a firebug on the loose in northern Lower Michigan. What does he or she want, though? As Bay starts digging, clues lead her back to a real estate agent she crossed paths with weeks before. He wants the property that burned, but has he somehow come into contact with the sort of magic that can make his dreams come true? Or is it something else entirely?
On top of that, two of the victims who were saved from the fire refuse to wake up. They’re in magically induced comas, and the doctors can’t figure out why. All that’s certain is their lives are in danger, and Bay is the only one who can save them.
Bay isn’t about to let an enemy take her down, but when Aunt Tillie starts acting squirrelly—even more squirrelly than normal—she becomes suspicious of the woman who always seems to have her pulse on everything paranormal.
What is Aunt Tillie hiding?
Fire is raging across Bay’s world and she only has one chance to put it out. Will she manage to rise to the occasion, or is the Winchester world about to burn?

The Usual Witchspects
2024
Bay Winchester thought having a stalker was the worst thing she had going on in her life. Turns out, she was wrong.
When her stalker turns up dead in a ditch following another family assault on Margaret Little—send in the clowns!—Bay finds herself in trouble. Big, big trouble.
Seems the former warden for an area prison has been murdered, and Bay is the chief suspect.
Since they’re too close to her to be objective, Chief Terry and Bay’s husband Landon have to step back and let another team take over the investigation. That means things are about to get ugly.
This isn’t just any investigation. This is an FBI investigation, and alarmingly Bay isn’t the only one on the hook. The team is looking hard at Landon too.
Bay wants to figure out who the killer is, but her every move is being watched. Since Aunt Tillie’s latest payback scheme involves an army of clown dolls that have “accidentally” gained sentience, Bay is even worse off than she originally believed.
Bay may not have liked the warden, but she feels bad about his death…and not just because it’s sending shockwaves through the small community of Hemlock Cove. She knows if she doesn’t find the culprit she’ll be on the hook for a murder she didn’t commit.
It also means she could lose everything.
It’s all witches present for another Winchester adventure. Just how are they going to get out of this one?

How Witch It Is
2015
Welcome to Hemlock Cove, where the town is magically rebranded—but real witches aren't necessarily welcome.
That makes things hard for the Winchester witches—including local newspaper reporter, Bay. She's got a persnickety family—wait until you met Aunt Tillie—and a penchant for stumbling across trouble.
Thankfully for Bay, she's got loyal cousins, and the ability to talk to ghosts as she tries to solve mysteries and put souls to rest.
Follow Bay as she meets a man who is more than he seems, and tries to hide a history that is centuries in the making.
This is the first three books in the Wicked Witches of the Midwest cozy mystery series. It includes: Any Witch Way You Can, Every Witch Way But Wicked and Witching You Were Here.
Note: These characters are snarky. You've been warned. This is NOT a new standalone book. This is a compilation of previously published books.

The Winchester witches are at it again, and this time the stakes are higher than ever.
Go along with Bay, Thistle, Clove, Aunt Tillie and the rest of the Winchester family (and their friends, of course) as they take on human traffickers, an angry poltergeist and a murderous bank robber.
You’ll finally get a chance to meet their fathers, Landon’s family, and find out if Clove will ever get lucky in love. That’s on top of the usual family hijinks, and Aunt Tillie’s irrepressible wrath – which can never fully be contained.
This omnibus includes books 4 to 6 in the Wicked Witches of the Midwest series: Witching on a Star, Something to Witch About and Witch Me Luck.

When I was a kid, I was torn between whether or not I was going to grow up and be the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman. I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn't up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer—although I had no idea the effort that would entail. Not only am I a writer now, but I'm a writer in several different mediums. I'm a longtime newspaper reporter, an avid reader and a voracious science fiction fanatic.
