Cora knew life was hard, it was unpredictable and it certainly wasn't perfect. She knew her place in the world and never expected it to change. She had learnt from a young age that life wasn't easy and to cherish the good things in life. A single mum of two, working in an under-paid job, cleaning in the shadows of the wealthy. They don't notice us, the little people... Well, that is until one of them knocks you off your feet, literally. Roman Nash is a rich pompous arse, that just so happens to be drop-dead gorgeous, but also has an irritating way of getting under Cora's skin. He's the only person she wants to kiss and hit at the same time. Roman may knock Cora off her feet, but it's her who knocks his entire world off kilter. A woman who has nothing, but one that would still give away her last penny to whomever needed it. A woman who isn't scared to speak her mind, especially to him. A woman who has absolutely no idea just how incredibly beautiful she is, both inside and out. They say fairytales don't exist, that they are just stories, but for Cora, her life is about to turn into a comical and modern fairytale. Two people from the same city, but from opposite sides of the tracks. They collide together in a heart warming and humorous way. But unlike normal fairytales, this one isn't all hearts, roses and magical moments. It's curse words, hard times and hilarious moments. A modern day rags to riches fairytale.
Author

I'm a self published author. I fell in love with reading as an adult, when I found the romance genre. I immediately got sucked into the stories and fell in love. The romcom, the dark, the Suspense, all of them! I struggled a lot with reading and writing when I was younger. Being dyslexic made it extremely hard for me, but I loved writing stories even then. I wrote Rise Above in secret too scared and embarrassed that it wasn't good enough, that people would laugh at it, at me. My husband pushed me to take the leap. So I did. Not having an editor to start with and a friend making my cover it scary jumping into a world your unsure of what to do. Learning as I go. Its the best decision I ever made. The response was amazing. I am currently working on the rest of the series. And plan on writing until I run out of words. I love it and one thing I've learnt is you only live once and you should to do what you love and what makes you happy. I hope that people enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.
