As a graduation present for her daughter, Tammy, Samantha Moon and the gang head down to South America for the vacation of all vacations. Next Xibalba—the Mayan Underworld Fresh from a harrowing trip into a very different underworld, Sam is about to discover Xibalba is just as harrowing—only this time, she has Allison, Tammy, and Paxton with her to worry about. It all begins when Sam and the gang arrive on a sightseeing tour in Guatemala. Immediately, Sam senses something is off. In particular, that someone needs help. Sure enough, a young mother runs up to Sam, desperate for help. The vampire investigator soon learns why. Her boy is missing; worse, he might have been abducted by his father and taken to a nearby cave entrance. And not just any cave the gateway into Xibalba, the legendary Mayan Underworld. Except this is no legend. It’s the real deal, and it’s the stuff of nightmares. True, Sam has had enough of underworlds, but there’s no way in hell she isn’t going to try and find the missing boy. And so, the hunt is on. Bad guys and demigods, beware. Sam is on the case.

Born in a little town known as South Amboy NJ in 1973, Matthew has been creating science fiction and fantasy worlds for most of his reasoning life. Somewhere between fifteen to eighteen of them spent developing the world in which Division Zero, Virtual Immortality, and The Awakened Series take place. He has several other projects in the works as well as a collaborative science fiction endeavor with author Tony Healey. Hobbies and Interests: Matthew is an avid gamer, a recovered WoW addict, Gamemaster for two custom systems (Chronicles of Eldrinaath [Fantasy] and Divergent Fates [Sci Fi], and a fan of anime, British humour (<- deliberate), and intellectual science fiction that questions the nature of reality, life, and what happens after it. He is also fond of cats.
