Marshal, take him away!” As Shorty was led away, gunman and surgeon Karl P. Dittrich was stepping down from the train. On the steps, he looked around and smiled. “What a town!” He adjusted that forty-five on his hip and with luggage and rifle in his left hand, walked to the hotel.
