The lumber company Atlantic Timber, obtained the concession to deforest a large wooden swathe, crossed by rivers that will permit to easily ship the logs. The company stipulated a pact with the region's Native tribes, promising not to cross the agreed borders. But now, the Natives repeatedly attacked the company's lumberjacks, accusing them to cut woods outside the allowed boundaries. Rosemberg, boss of the Atlantic Timber, declaring the attacks unfair, recruits a band of hired guns, the “River Wolves” led by Captain Ford, to protect his workers. To solve the case, Zagor boards one of the company boats and reaches the lumberjacks' camp...
