She studied graphic design in Düsseldorf and life in the Maghreb. With her husband Oliver Uschmann she publishes novels for young people, adult novels as well as funny and serious non-fiction.

Oliver Uschmann wuchs in Wesel am Niederrhein auf. In Bochum studierte er Literatur und in Berlin das Leben. Mit seiner Frau Sylvia Witt veröffentlicht er Jugendromane, Erwachsenenromane sowie lustige und ernste Sachbücher. Auf der Videospielkonsole stellt sich Oliver Uschmann regelmäßig den schwersten Gegnern. Zu seinen Hobbies außerhalb des Hauses gehören das Barfußlaufen und das Guerilla-Gärtnern. Außerdem begrüßt er jedes natürliche Gewässer, indem er vollständig seinen Schädel hineinsteckt.
