I read it somewhere that even when beautiful things are lost, there’s still a chance that they can be found. And I believed that whole-heartedly because according to my grandmother, me and my sister were both beautiful things that had been lost by our mother and found by her. She always found a way to make poetry of the struggles that life threw our way. She made every day behind those bricks more livable by simply being who she was. Too bad she wasn’t around to help me do the same with the most unimaginable struggle life could ever throw at any mother. Thought I’d seen the worst of my days after all I’d been through.
