Elevée dans les années soixante-dix par des parents hippies, qui considéraient l’éducation de façon empirique, d’autant que l’un était spécialiste en psychologie, l’autre en philosophie, j’ai passé mon enfance et ma jeunesse à parcourir la France et ses « grands » alentours de façon pittoresque. Après des études de lettres que j’estimais insuffisamment centrées sur la création littéraire, je partis en Nouvelle-Calédonie pour devenir institutrice en brousse. De là à immigrer dans la grande île voisine, il n’y avait qu’un pas que je sautai allègrement, puisque je fus successivement professeur de francais à l’Alliance Française de Perth puis journaliste à Sydney. De retour en France, je gagnai un petit concours d’écriture dans Marie-France puis me lançai dans l’écriture de mon premier roman, qui fut édité sous le titre Un baiser de trop.
