Jules Tellier entered the university in 1882 and became a professor in Cherbourg, Langres, Constantine and Moissac (1885-1887). Then he went to Paris and collaborated with the newspaper Le Parti National. He died on May 29, 1889 of typhoid fever at the hospital of Toulouse, while returning from a trip to Algeria and Spain.
