
Olgária Chain Feres Matos is a Professor at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), being the creator and coordinator of the Philosophy course. Before that, she was a full professor of Theory of Human Sciences in the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of the Universidade de São Paulo, retiring in 2005. She is a scholar at the Frankfurt School. Her PhD thesis Os Arcanos do Inteiramente Outro won the Jabuti Prize for Human Sciences in 1990, when the thesis was published by Editora Brasiliense. She also wrote As Barricadas do Desejo, a book about French May 1968, and Contemporaneidades, where she discusses some of the most important issues of our time, from the perspective of philosophy, culture, politics and history. Between 2003 and 2008, she was a Professor in the Masters in Communication and Culture at the Universidade de Sorocaba (Uniso). Philosopher Olgária Matos has a postdoctoral degree from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and is a full professor at the Universidade de São Paulo. She was the curator of the “Experiences in Time” module.
