Anita Waingort Novinsky, Brazilian historian, graduated in Philosophy (1956) and PhD in History, both from the University of São Paulo (USP), specialized in the Portuguese Inquisition in Brazil, in the customs of crypto-Jews (Jews who practiced their faith and their customs in secret, for fear of religious persecution, while publicly practicing another religion) in this country and in the revival of their Jewish consciousness, 200 years after the end of the Inquisition in Brazil. Born in Stachow, Poland, Novinsky emigrated with his family at the age of one to Brazil. Specialized in Psychology by the University of São Paulo (USP) in 1958, she qualified in Racism in the Iberian World by the École des hautes études en sciences sociales in 1977. She obtained her doctorate in Social History from the University of São Paulo (USP) in 1970 and after -doctorate from the University of Paris I in 1983. She was the founder and president of the Intolerance Studies Laboratory at USP, and participated in the elaboration of the Portal Rumo Tolerância, awarded as one of the best sites on Human Rights in 2006. The Federal Rural University of Pernambuco has a chair that bears his name since 2015, belonging to the Department of Social Sciences. Novinsky is considered an authority on the subject of the Inquisition. In 2013, the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development awarded Novinsky the distinction of Pioneer of Science in Brazil in honor of its trajectory as a researcher. She is currently a Free Lecturer at the University of São Paulo and a Consultant to the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development. Acting mainly on the following themes: Colonial Brazil, New Christian, History, Inquisition, History of Brazil, Holocaust and Identity.




Scarlett Zerbetto Marton é professora de história da filosofia contemporânea na Universidade de São Paulo. É considerada uma das maiores conhecedoras brasileiras do filósofo alemão Friedrich Nietzsche. Criou o "Grupo de Estudos Nietzsche" (GEN) e a respectiva revista anual, "Cadernos Nietzsche". A tese de doutorado, Nietzsche - das forças cósmicas aos valores humanos, foi defendida em 1979 e publicada em 1980. O livro mais recente é A irrecusável busca de sentido, autobiografia intelectual em que colocou em questão suas opções filosóficas e pessoais, bem como criticou várias tendências da atual filosofia brasileira. É professora titular de filosofia contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Concluiu o mestrado em Filosofia na "Université Paris I Sorbonne" (1974), o doutorado (1988) e a livre-docência (1996) em Filosofia na "Universidade de São Paulo". É autora, dentre outros livros, de "Nietzsche, das forças cósmicas aos valores humanos", "Extravagâncias. Ensaios sobre a filosofia de Nietzsche", "A irrecusável busca de sentido. Autobiografia intelectual". Publicou trabalhos na Alemanha, Áustria, França, Espanha, Estados Unidos, Venezuela, Colômbia, Bolívia, Argentina e Chile. Fundou e coordena o GEN - Grupo de Estudos Nietzsche; é a editora-responsável dos "Cadernos Nietzsche" e da "Coleção Sendas e Veredas". Trabalha na área de Filosofia, com ênfase em História da Filosofia Moderna e Contemporânea, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: "Nietzsche, atualidade e crítica" e "Crítica da cultura contemporânea".

Olgária Chain Feres Matos is a Professor at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), being the creator and coordinator of the Philosophy course. Before that, she was a full professor of Theory of Human Sciences in the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of the Universidade de São Paulo, retiring in 2005. She is a scholar at the Frankfurt School. Her PhD thesis Os Arcanos do Inteiramente Outro won the Jabuti Prize for Human Sciences in 1990, when the thesis was published by Editora Brasiliense. She also wrote As Barricadas do Desejo, a book about French May 1968, and Contemporaneidades, where she discusses some of the most important issues of our time, from the perspective of philosophy, culture, politics and history. Between 2003 and 2008, she was a Professor in the Masters in Communication and Culture at the Universidade de Sorocaba (Uniso). Philosopher Olgária Matos has a postdoctoral degree from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and is a full professor at the Universidade de São Paulo. She was the curator of the “Experiences in Time” module.
