For takket være overvågning kan vi ikke bare styre og kontrollere os selv, men hele befolkninger. Vores samfund minder nærmest om fængsler, vi ikke kan undslippe. Heldigvis har vi ikke noget imod at dele hvert et skridt og andre intime detaljer med hinanden. Det er kun chefen, der ikke må kigge med.

Anders Albrechtslund is a Professor at Aarhus University. He holds a BA and MA in philosophy and a PhD in information studies. Over the last decade he has published research papers and book chapters on surveillance, social media, ethics, and new technologies. At Aarhus University he is Director of the Center for Surveillance Studies (CENSUS). In 2016 his first sole-author book, "Overvågning" (English title: "Surveillance"), was published. He is currently working on the book "Participatory Surveillance: Sharing our Life Online" which is due to be published by Routledge in 2021.
