Rose Ann Hirsch was born and raised in the Western part of New York State where she spent her summers riding the thrilling roller coasters of local amusement parks. She now pursues a hobby of visiting parks throughout North America and dreams of visiting parks all over the world. As a child, she enjoyed drawing and writing stories, especially ghost stories. She holds Associate Degrees in commercial art and creative writing. Rose has published several short stories for children, non-fiction articles for adults, articles on amusement parks, carousels, and roller coasters, and three historical books on amusement parks. She is currently working on a series of mildly scary novels for middle school-age children under a yet-to-be-determined pen name. Her interest in amusement parks and all things Disney led to her various careers including being a Disney Store cast member and a carousel restorer. She volunteers when she can at a local kiddie amusement park and the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum. Rose met her husband on a roller coaster club outing to Kennywood in Pittsburgh, PA in 1999 and they were married in September of 2000. Their wedding pictures were taken on a roller coaster. Rose is the mom of a Bichon Bolognese dog named Happy. They live with her husband in Niagara Falls, NY.
