Love is Buzzing in the Good Old Summertime Four historical romances flourish in the Victorian era as romance and love change both the hearts of young couples as well as the communities in which they are planted. The Honey Bride by Diana Lesire Brandmeyer Katie Tucker must overcome her fear of the bees her father left her as her inheritance to run the family farm and her fear of those like Pete Dent who offer to help her. He'll rebuild her barn, but is his friendship genuine? The Lumberjack's Bride by Pam Hillman Chicago transplant Lucy Denson cooks for a logging crew in the Mississippi backwoods until she can return to her idea of civilization. Can Eli Everett help her rethink her ideals? The Summer Harvest Bride by Maureen Lang Sally Hobson is practically engagged to the mayor's son when Lukas Daughton and his family come to town to build a gristmill. She can't deny an unusual feeling growing for Lukas, but is he trustworthy? The Wildflower Bride by Amy Lillard Grace Sinclair would never dream of leaving her Ozarks, so when Ian McGruer visits for a wedding, she ignores her sudden romantic thoughts. Can Ian make her see the way of love?
Authors

Maureen Lang Maureen Lang has always had a passion for writing. She wrote her first novel longhand around the age of 10, put the pages into a notebook she had covered with soft deerskin (nothing but the best!), then passed it around the neighborhood to rave reviews. It was so much fun she's been writing ever since. Most of her books are historical, with an emphasis on faith and romance.

I'm a wife, mother, and bona fide Southern belle. Published author, expert corn bread maker, and Squirrel Princess. I live in Tulsa, though I was born in Mississippi. I moved to the Sooner State when I was seventeen and met my soul mate and best friend not long after. I've retained a little of my Mississippi accent though most people think I'm from Texas. (?) Rob and I have been married for over twenty years and have a son—a mom proclaimed prodigy, of course! I love homemade tacos, nail polish, and romance novels—not necessarily in that order. I'm a big fan of country music, a staunch proponent of saving the Oxford comma, and I'm shamefully obsessed with all things Harry Potter. I believe that God is love. I guess that's why I adore romances. I have always been intrigued with the Amish culture, their gentle ways and slower-paced lifestyle. (And I love, love, love the fact that they stay married for their lifetime.) But until recently I never thought to blend this interest with my penchant for romance. Okay, okay, I'm a bit old-fashioned and even enjoy the gender roles that are present in this culture. I love to cook and take care of my family. Yes, that's me June Cleaver with a laptop. I dislike people trying to convince me to read the Twlight series (I'll get to it or I won't, either way I'm good with it), gratuitous violence, and strawberry ice cream. (I know I'm alone on this last one, and again, I'm good with it.) Favorite movies—(besides HP) French Kiss, Maid of Honor, A Lot Like Love, Just Married, and Sweet Home Alabama. Oh, and Miss Congeniality, Sabrina (both versions) and a 1940's movie called Dear Ruth. If you haven't seen it, you should! A-dorable. Anything with Doris Day and most all of Marilyn's and Audrey's.

After much writing, re-writing, and reading I've learned the best way to tell a story is from the heart and then let the mind edit it so others can read it. CBA and ECPA best-selling Christian author, Diana Lesire Brandmeyer, writes historical and contemporary romances. She writes fiction about women choosing to challenge their fears to become the strong women God intended them to be.
