The Search for the Lost Flyers, or Ted Scott Over the West Indies, was written by F. W. Dixon(i.e. Leslie McFarlan). And it's dedicated, as with all the Ted Scott stories, to the heroes of the air. Ted's friend, Mr. Monet, heads to the West Indies to pick up his Niece, Nina, who's father died. On the way, he plans to look for a treasure Nina's Father insists was on an island with a cross-shaped grove of palm trees. He sets out in his plane, The Blue Gull, with his pilot companion Tom Ralston, but when they disappear in the Indie's, Ted and his friend, Walter Hapworth set out to find them....
